Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia
I was arrested for commercial burglary exactly 2 years ago in the state of Georgia. I called a bondsman and he bonded me out the same night and I still have never had a court date. Can I get my bond money back?

Fees paid to bonding companies, as per the agreement you sign at the time, are non-refundable.
Why would bondsman give you yoru money back, when they earned that money by posting a bond for you. If your bond was $ 10,000, you only posted $ 1100. The bondsman posted the other $ 8900. Your fee for having the bondsman put hiw $ 8900 at risk, is $ 1100. In reality, none of that matters, even if you would have posted cash or property, you are not getting any money back unless and until, either: (1) the case is resolved; or (2) you turn yourself back into the jail. I suggets you begin looking for an attorney. Good luck.
