Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia
If you are arrested for a crime, aren't you supposed to be arraigned within 30 days of arrest. My son has been in jail 34 days.

He had to have a first appearance (not the same as arraignment) within 48 hours. The timing of steps after that depends on the case, and he should discuss that with his lawyer.
