Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia
If i was arrested for misdeamoner false statement and plea for disorderly conduct, why woukd the da change my offense to a felony statement?

You should be asking that to your lawyer, who actually knows the facts of the case. Since you may be facing a good bit of prison time, and a felony record will also make you virtually unemployable for life, obviously you have hired counsel by now.

Question makes no sense. Arrested for false statement? Entered a plea to disorderly conduct on the same incident? DA then comes back on the same incident and charges you with a felony false statements? Is that right?
