If you are arrested for possession of marijuana/less than ounce in your vehicle, are the police required to write you a traffic citation?

They can charge you on a UTC (traffic citation) or other charging document, or they can use NO document in which case the prosecutor will drafy an accusation.
This is an offense that will ruin your life if not handled correctly - meaning you can never get scholarships, lose a drivers license, may be denied employment, and can go to jail and pay fines. You need a lawyer.
