Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia
Need some assistance in how to find a production order. My son filed a habeas in Monroe county and was heard by the appeals court by the Asst Attorney General on August 8, 2016. He won the appeal and was told he would be transferred by the Douglasville Court for re-sentencing. Today, he is still sitting in prison almost 4years now. Can you give me some advise as I live in Las Vega and these courts are very difficult to deal with?

Advice on what? He is going to be resentenced. To what? How many years did he get originally? How many is he looking at now? If he received 50 years in prison, and now must be resentenced without the gun charge (reducing the sentence by five years), no one is in any rush to get him back to court, because he is not getting out of jail anytime soon. So, that is the real question: Is he scheduled to get out of jail sometime in the next two years on the resentence?
