Background check
i was arrested in 1993 for a felony charge and placed on 10 years probation 2003 i was arrested for probation violation. Last week i applied for a job they wanted to know if i had been convicted of a felony in the last seven years - they will be doing a criminal background check - will this show up and prevent me from getting the job

Always answer the questions honestly that are asked on a job application. Failure to do so can result in you not getting the job. An arrest will always show up on your record. You can always petition the courts for an expungement. Get an attorney. You will need one. An expungement can be costly.
