Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia
bad check
I was booked on a warrant for a bad check and it was classified as a misdemeanor. Can I get this expunged from my record because this will affect my job background check

You have only been arrested at this point? Not convicted? Get you an attorney immediately and fight this. The arrest will be a permanant fixture on your record. If you are found guilty in court then you will have to wait a very long time to petition the court for expungement. If you would like to speak privately, please call my office.
