I am being blackmailed. If I go to the police for help, can I go to jail for what I am being blackmailed for?

YES, IF the issue is a crime you committed. Someone is blackmailing you, in order to get you to pay them to NOT tell the police you murdered someone. IF the police can establish that you committed the murder, you will arrested and jailed for murder
