Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia
my boyfriend was arrested at around 9pm for speeding , driving with a suspended license, and possession of less than 1 oz of marijuana. He didn't have any marijuana on him but the officers stated that they "could smell it on him". He was completely unaware that his license was suspended and, however I looked online and he has a bond of $1300. I'm completely unaware of what to do to help him because i have not ever been in any type of trouble with the law or had to help anyone that has been in trouble. What do you think will be the outcome of this situation?

Licenses are suspended for reasons liked missed court dates, lapsed insurance, past cases etc so your friend needs to be honest with you. The best thing you can do for him is to make his bond and get him counsel. He could get jail time, huge fines, and lose his license, and the drug case can cause him problems for life if mishandled.
Either bond him out, or he will plead out and lose his license and free time when he has to perform hours and hours of community service. Good luck
