Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia
I was charged with criminal trespass for punching a hole in the wall at my parents home. the Police came and gave me two option go to jail or go to the hospital for evaluation. I went to the hospital and they sent me to a mental health facility and I remained there for eight days. I have court in two weeks do I need a lawyer to get this removed from my record? This is my only experience with the law and I am seeing a pscycholgist weekly and I am 18 years old.

No one here know anything about your charges or the purpose of your court date, other than the few details you posted. People with criminal charges, who take them seriously, get lawyers. Otherwise, you risk a conviction and starting your adult life with problems getting a job, getting into school, the military, and sometimes even apartments or housing. Most people consider these things important enough to get a good lawyer.
