i was charged with a possesion charge,but i beat the charge.at the time of the arest i had some money on me and the police took it.i beat the charge and i was wondering how can i recieve the money back they took from me.

The police likely did a civil forfeiture. If they did, you do not get the money back unless you, in a timely fashion, fight that in civil court (and win). Your criminal attorney should have discussed that with you. Note that you could win the criminal case and still lose the civil one.
Such cases are very expensive. Most attorneys will not touch them for less than $10,000.
If the police took the money in forfeiture, you must fight the case in civil court. If the amount is less than $ 500, law enforcement might just give it back. If the amount is more than $ 1000, you will probably have to get an attorney.
