Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia

i got charged theft of services for interference with public utilities, they issued me a subpoena and the officer said that he just thinks that they just want their money but i told him that i wasnt home that weekend when they had supposely cut it off i wa in another county staying at my grandmother's for our family reunion . how can i get the charges dropped without appearing in court?

You are charged with a crime. You need a lawyer and you should NOT be talking to the police as you did without counsel. When charged with a crime, if you fail to come to court, you will have a second charge for the failure to appear and can expect to be arrested and jailed for that. If you have a good defense, that is something your lawyer can assist with.
