Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia
I committed a crime in GA 10 in 2002. I was convicted and placed on 1st offenders status. Unfortunately due to circumstances, in 2004 I was violated probation by not paying and the judge signed off on a adjudication of guilt. However in 2008 after my probation was completed, the judge and my probation office signed off on an Order of Discharge for 1st offenders status exonerating me of my conviction. My question is should my 1st offenders status be discharged since the judge signed off to have everything removed or does the conviction stand?
