Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia
confiscated money
My son in law was arrested for felony possession of marijuana with intent last week in Georgia. He had quite a bit of cash on him which was confiscated as 'drug money'. I can prove this money was from his tax return, as I filed it myself and had the money direct deposited into my account. I cashed a check for the money from my account 2 days before he left. All of which I can prove. What are his chances of getting the money back? Where do I begin?

Re: confiscated money
If the state attorney is trying to take the money you can fight it now. I would suggest you call me or e-mail me before you do or say anything to anyone.
