Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia

I have not been convicted of any crime, but someone close to me has. He was arrested and booked late April in Bartow County, GA. and has been awaiting a proper defense attorney and trial since. He was arrested for drug violations at a music festival known as CounterPoint. The drugs were not found on him by police, but found on his friends around him by the festival security (not actual state police). He has had a few bail reduction hearings but the judge has denied all of them.

Where do we go from here? Are you able to connect us with a defense attorney that he is able to afford, possibly make a payment plan with? Looking for any guidance.

If he cannot afford an attorney he should apply for a public defender. It is unlikely that a private attorney would agree to a payment plan. Most public defenders are excellent attorneys.

If you cannot retain Mr Lewis (or another private attorney), take Laurie's advice and try to get a public defender -- get an attorney ASAP
