Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia
I was convicted in 2011 of fraud on the company I worked for. They are now in Chapter 11 bankruptcy - filed in 2013. How do I find out if they are still in business and if they are not - what are my options to dismiss the restitution payments? If they are not in business, am I still obligated to make the payments? I still am making payments and will continue until a judge says otherwise but I want to know my options to seek a cancellation of the debt.

If they are IN Chapter 11, chances are they are still in business. Even if they aren't, their accounts receivable don't just disappear into thin air. They are collected by a trustee, receiver, bank or collection agency.
