Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia
I have to go to court because I accidentally walked out of a Walmart (not out the doors just the "point of sale"), forgetting that I did not pay for the product because I was distracted by a text message. I immediately apologized when I was stopped and said I would pay for the items but they charged me for theft. Total cost was $18. Now I have to go to court. What is the likely result of this case?

If it is your first ever shoplifting charge, and with a good lawyer, you might be able to get diversion, pay a fine and your record gets "cleaned" (i.e., no conviction and record restricted - but not sealed)
I can give you 15 minutes of free consultation Call my office 770.986.6773 (between 12 Noon and 1pm tomorrow afternoon) or email me all of the details and paperwork at [email protected]
Good luck
