I assume you're the defendant, and no, you usually don't get to pick the other side in your case. The fact that you asked that question tells me that the question you did not ask ("Am I making a mistake in not having a lawyer?" is the one you should ask.
(In rare cases there could be grounds to disqualify a prosecutor, and your attorney can advise you if those very rare circumstances exist).
