Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia
My cousin has been in jail in Bryan County, Georgia for the past four weeks. Two weeks ago he was sentenced to 90 days. He has been told that he will be moved to a detention center. I want to know if the time he spends in the county jail (after sentencing) will count toward the 90 days. Or will the 90 days begin once he is moved to a detention center?

Certainly, someone facing a conviction and jail time had a lawyer to answer questions about his sentence.
