Criminal Case
I am a defendent in a criminal case charged with misdemeanor marijuana poss. I was using a friends car, was pulled over when they searched the car they found it although it wasnt mine. i'm 32 never been in any kind of trouble im fighting the charge. My question is this is out of state so I can't bring any character witneses with me, should I bring reference letters and work history to prove I am not the kind of person who engages in such activity.

Character witnesses have a limited value. The jury/judge knows that the defense handpicks its witnesses to say nice things. You can do it, but its a lot of inconvenience to the witness for a limited value. Your GA attorney should be helping you with this decision.
