Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia

My daughter was arrested last August for thieft by taken. I was not able to afford a attorney, so she was assigned to a public defender. The PD and DA came into an agreement that she and the other party should re pay the money. However on today, the judge stated that he did not feel as if my daughter was sorry for what she did and do not allow the plea and sentence her to 120-240 days in Bullock County Detention Center. The other party was allowed two additional weeks to come up with his part. I asked if I paid her part would she be released? They said the judge did not put that in her orders. What can I do to resolve this matter. She is currentlu a full time student @ GA Southern University and currently working she stays in the detention center she will lose everything, I understand that she owes the money what i do not understand is why she went to jail and other party was allowed additional time to get the money up. Please explain?

Why are you not asking her lawyer? Of course no one on an internet forum can explain what happened in her case.

How would anyone here know? None of us heard the case. Her lawyer DOES know. Why did you not ask the lawyer?

The other person had a retained attorney, who worked for the client. You and your daughter, who has money to attend GA Southern and now magically has the money to pay the restitution, decided to go the cheap route and run with the PD. Everyone got what they paid for. That is the explanation.
