Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia
Daughter locked up for possession of drug related idem with intent to use she had a marijuana grinder container in here room.she is in college in statesboro Georgia.ga code states conviction could carry a fine up to $1000 or up to year in jail or both. She has never even had a traffic situation or any other trouble before. Wondering if it's worth hiring a lawyer or take advise of public defender ? On a tight budget so don't have money really for attorney but at same time do t want my daughter to do jail time. What do u think outcome will be. Thanks
