Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia
My daughter's live in boyfriend of ten years moved out of the house 6 months ago. He has since been sent to serve three years in prison and now is in jail. When he left he left behind some expensive tool chests and tools and a riding lawnmower. Also while he lived with my daughter he stole $3000.00 from me on a empty credit card he ran up without my knowledge or permission. I had to pay all that money and he never gave me a dime back. He also pawned all my deceased husbands tools and electronics he had locked up in a workshop. I feel like I am entitled to keep all he left behind and sell it to make up for what he took from me. Can I legally do this?. I live in Georgia.

No. If you steal from a thief you also can be prosecuted for a felony. Don't!
