Deposit account fraud

here is the problem i was charged with deposit account fraud the courts put me on probation until i could pay the restitution on the check i was given a P.Officer even though i live in chicago presently i had to come to georgia to answer these charges.the judge asked me when i could pay the money back which the money was already paid i had to just pay court fees, and i told him in two weeks which at the time would have been september well in september i did pay it i though end of story done deal boy was i wrong. a week ago i get a letter saying i had a warrant because they never got my money i have proof i sent it what do i do now they want me to resend some more money before i put a trace on the money i sent in september. i spoke with my p.officer and asked him why didnt he call me or write to tell me he hadnt received it and come to find out they had my address mispelled which that wasnt my fault but their own. now heres the problem i need to be in geogia next week for traffic and they want to arrest me for this

Why not just stop payment on the missing check and immediately send a new one rather than wait around on some tracer? Then, ask the probation officer to take some steps to get the warrant withdrawn, since they messed up the address. But, by fooling around with tracers, they are probably questioning your candor in their minds.
