I recieved pregnancy medicaid for january of 2008 to october of 2008 and failed to report a change in my household and now the department of family an children services are threatening to charge me with fraud i just need to know if i need a lawyer or should i wait until i know for sure that they are going to charge me with fraud?

If they are threatening to charge you with fraud, then you should definitely retain a lawyer.

Unlike a formal police interrogation, no Miranda warning needs to be given, and any information you volunteer to the department of family and children services could be used against you.
