Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia
I have discovered that my ex husband has been to my house on at least two occasions at night while I was gone to work and stole property worth about $1000 from me. My sons have located the property hidden at his place of employment. The property was taken sometime after I was granted a TPO against him but I don't know if it was all taken before the divorce was final. He didn't get the property in the settlement and was under a court order not set foot on the premises at any time or remove anything at the time he took it. Can I file charges against him? Is there any chance of getting my stuff back?

Why have you not already called 911, had him arrested and sworn out a warrant? He likely can be charged with not only the theft, but also criminal trespass and stalking or aggravated stalking. Push this. He belongs in jail. You have the tools to get him there.
You can report it to the police and inform the prosecutor's office. Good luck.
