Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia

Drug Charge

What information, if any, can I gain access to when someone is arrested on a warrant for sale of cocaine?

My boyfriend was called by his state prob. officer to come in to the office and was then arrested on a warrant for sale of cocaine that supposedly happened 2 mths. prior. He was on probation under the First Offender's Act. He has went to court for prob. revocation hearing and was informed that they now have several sell charges against him. The public defender says she can't get any information except an address that was on the warrant.

Re: Drug Charge

they will turn over all reports once discovery is demanded on sale case, they do not have to do so for prob rev though, but you can request hearing and the officers should have been mae to testify about events of sale
