D.U.I. assistance

i was rectly chrgd w/ dui in georgia. i blew a .11 and also speeding of 74 in 55. my only other history is 1 other speed tkt in ga. i consulted an attorney and he wants $1500 to oversee case. (not including trial). by blowing .11 in ga., should i take my loss and go to court solo, face punishment, or hire counsel and try to have reduced if poss. this is 1st offense and dont want this to screw my life. I spoke to a couple of attnys, but they seem to want to defend...i just want to know if any hope is poss. in ga., w/ the very strict dui laws here. or better off using attrny $$ to pay fine..also do judges suspend jail or am i facing the big house

1st offense dui

I am assuming this is your first dui in five years in any state. Your punishmnet will be fine $300-$1000, 24 hours in jail, 40 hours community service. this is the mandatory min. In order to tell you if case is defendable, would have to know MUCH more about stop etc. >11 is clearly intox so would not defend on that alone
