Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia
DUI Convictions/Penalties
I was recently given two dui citations as the result of overmedication resulting in a vehicular accident. I was not arrested at the time nor was anyone injured. I was given a blood test but currently I do not know the results (though I suspect it to be 1.01 due to a comment made by a paramedic but this is uncertain). I don't understand why I was given two citations, I became intoxicated due to a recent change in medication. I had not been consuming alcohol. If convicted this would be my first and only convictions, what can I reasonably expect from the court system in Chatam County? My medications are being adjusted and more closely monitored by my physician.

Re: DUI Convictions/Penalties
We will be happy to help. The officers almost always give two citations. If you were to found guilty of DUI, do not worry, you would only be convicted of one of the citations. Please call us at your earliest convenience, so that I can go into more detail.
