Re: DUI extradition
Your question is very difficult to answer completely. Let me tell you some general information, and perhaps that will help you.
The decision on whether to extradite a defendant is made by the receiving state. Factors that go into that decision include whether the offense is a felony or a misdemeanor, whether the offense involves violence, whether the offense is politically sensitive, and the personalities of the local court and prosecutor. [Now you see why an Ohio lawyer cannot fully answer your question about a Georgia case].
If you are arrested here, the Court may grant you bond, or may not. If not, you can be held without bond until Georgia decides whether or not to come get you. Generally, that can be for as long as 21 days.
My best advice is to hire an attorney in Georgia to try to resolve the case. By being proactive, you might avoid being arrested here and sitting in jail for up to 3 weeks.
