Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia
What can I expect if I plead guilty or not guilty to a shoplifting charge in Georgia? I was caught switching price tags by Loss Prevention in Wal-Mart. 2 pairs of boots ($40). I signed a paper stating what happened, they obviously saw me on camera. And I was given a citation and taken to jail. Process and booked. This is my first time ever getting arrested. I'm currently in school. I start a new job soon. What are my options?

First, do not write a confession on the internet, the State can and will use it against you
Find a good criminal defense attorney that has been successful in getting these types of charges off your record when doing your plea
P.S. Wal*mart will send you a "loss prevention letter" demanding you pay them $150 - $300 for their inconvenience - do not respond to it withoutthe advice of a good criminal defense attorney.
