Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia
Hi, I'm trying to get an exspongement but Ga. doesn't offer that, so what's my alternative to clear my record? I'm not sure who dropped the ball because I was told that I would be given the 1st time offerenders deal so that my record would be clean after 7yrs. That didn't happen, I had an employer to do a background check and there was the infomation. Help this is a 17yr. old offense and I have not had any other legal encounters.

There is no such thing as "exspongement."
Georgia does have expungements but they generally happen only where there is an aquittal. In the case of a "First Offender", you were convicted and likely are ineligible.
A pardon is also a possibility. See a lawyer to discuss this.
With First Offender you should have been fully exonerated of all of your charges.
