Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia
Extradition
I'm not sure if i choose the correct area of law. My boyfriend was arrested for an outstanding warrant from maine and we live in ga. He was denied a court appointed attorney at this time and was givin 2 choices. The waarant was for fugitive of law and assault on a child. The choices were waive extradition or request and then contest, my question is which is a better choice, also this case is 4 years old.

Re: Extradition
It is a difficult question to answer without first knowing all the facts. If he waives he goes right back to Maine. If he contests there are very limited defenses you can show but it would keep him here longer. Hire an attorney,it's the smart thing to do.
