Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia
Felony expungement
I am uneployed and keep getting turned down for employment due to a leaving the scene on an accident conviction in '05. I have no further criminal history. How/what can I do about this?

Re: Felony expungement
Felonies cannot be expunged. You can call your county's solicitor's office. They are the ones that handle expungements. You need to be absolutely sure that your conviction is for the felony. Occasionally a person can be arrested for a felony but ends up with a misdemeanor conviction. Good luck.
