It is probably safe to say if they have a strong case, the charges won't be dropped. If your fiance did something inappropriate (and that is probably the case if he was arrested and charged), your best option is to get away as fast as you can. Shelters and cemetaries are full of women who had an "explanation" and did not want their husband/boyfriend/fiance charged or convicted. In case you don't believe this is what happens, call any women's shelter and ask for examples.

How were the police contacted to learn that you might be kidnapped. I suspect that will dictate what will occur in the future.
