Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia
how would I go about finding an attorney? some attorneys that I have spoken with in the city where he is serving time ( Cartersville) will not take the warrant case because it's in Valdosta. That's far to travel I get it, however I have never been to Valdosta and it would be very difficult for me to travel to Valdosta and find an attorney. I have searched online but lost in the hay stack

I am gathering you have a case that needs to be heard in Valdosta. Since attorneys chargefor time, even if you found someone who would travel a great distance, that would add a lot to your costs. It also would deprive you of someone familiar with local courts and their staff and judges, which can matter. You can do a lot to research and locate lawyers online. On this site, the main https://www.lawguru.com/ page has a Find a Lawyer search tool where you can search by city. www.avvo.com is another site with such a tool if you need a second site. Use those tools to find specialists in the right area of law and learn about the lawyers.
Find the right attorney, then worry about the travel. See website: http://www.lawrencelewispc.com/pages.php?go=pinfo&PID=38
Good luck
