Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia
Fraud Against my checking account
A woman I once had a relationship with, stole my check book, and used the money in my account without my authorization over the internet. I reported to my bank, but the woman is trying to say I gave her my checks and authorized her to use them. Which is not true. By her doing so,she overdrafted my account. Is there any other steps I can take to have her prosecuted. Or give me some advice on what to do.
Thanks,

Re: Fraud Against my checking account
First, you can call the police and have her arrested. If convictied she will be ordered to pay you restitution. Second, your back is liable if they cashed your checks with her signiture on them and not yours. Good luck.
