Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia
My friend was just arrested for 2 felony counts of Theft by deception on a warrant that is over 10 years old. How is it that this warrant did not come up sooner? Is it possible that they were unaware of this pending warrant? How can I get more details regarding the actual charges?

That's not unusual. Police don't actively look for everyone. Some people don't get caught for a while. Unless you're his lawyer, you can't get much information. His lawyer is the one person who can get information easily.
