Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia

Friend who cashed a check and took the money without delivering the goods.

A friend of my husband's said he was able to get a set of gold clubs at wholesale prices and needed a check for $450. This ''friend'' brought the check to our bank the same day he received it and took the cash. The golf clubs did not become reality and after questioning him he admitted it was a scam and he was in financial trouble and took the money.

What is our recourse? Can we have him arrested for fraud?

Yes. You can seek an arrest warrant based on the fraud claim. I would also file a lawsuit in magistrate (small claims) court to get your money back.
