Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia
My friend decided to move in with me because of an argument he and his sister (who was his room mate) had. When he went to get his things, she attacked him, hitting him on the head with various objects. He tried to get her off him, and went a bit too far, knocking her down. when the police arrived, they arrested him but not her, even though we had witnessed to them that she had attacked him. They claim it was due to physical evidence, but we are sure it was due to the fact she is pregnant and pretty. He was charged with criminal trespassing and battery (though she had told him to come get his stuff) what we want to know is, can we file a complaint against the sheriff's department for discrimination, and is there anything legal we can do. also, we are now told he cannot move in with us because she lives too near to us, and that seems a bit unfair, for him to be forced into homelessness when he has a place that is willing to take him in.

Yes, you can file a complaint with the police department, which probably will not go anywhere because men and women are treated differently in Georgia and America, which is why there are no women playing football in the NFL. Or you can hire an attorney (definitely not me, because I only do criminal law), pay him some money and sue the police department in civil court. Or you can just hire a criminal defense attorney (like me) to defend your friend, and get all of the charges dismissed, so he can reside where ever he wants.
