Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia

I have a friend that has been making his regularly scheduled visits to his probation officer. He also has to make payments during these meetings. It turns out that the probation officer has been stealing his money, and now he has been sent to a probation detention center because the payments were not logged. He did not keep any of the receipts for the money orders, which was a big mistake in itself. Is there anything he can do? He is currently in barber school and has a job at a barber shop, so he is trying to get back on his feet.

If he didn't keep receipts, he is probably out of luck (are you sure he isn't lying to you?)

If he is telling the truth, he should know where he bought the money orders and for a fee he can trace them. If he won't tell you that, then he's likely lying.
