Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia

I have a Georgia permit to carry concealed weapons. I am a middle-aged man with a severe handicap--a significant paralysis in my feet, legs, forearms and hands. There are growing reports of carjackings, road rage assaults, violent home invasions, etc. If someone is assaulting me without a gun, can I stop him by shooting him with my gun? I am so weak physically that even an assault using fists and feet could be deadly serious. If someone is coming at me and I brandish my weapon, but they keep coming, can I shoot them? Must they be threatening me with a lethal weapon in order for me to be clear from charges if I shoot them to keep them from harming me?

Whoa, pardner. I would suggest that you sit down with a cop and talk about this. Please call me if you want to discuss. I have some of the same questions.
