Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia
In Georgia, a person charged with a misdemeanor has a right to a trial within two years. Is a person "charged" when the SECRET arrest warrant is issued? Or is it when the person is later arrested? Or is it when the prosecutor decides to start court proceedings?

Stop talking theory and lay out the facts of your case, because your question cannotbe deciphered. What is a "secret" warrant? How do you know a person has a right to a trial within two years? Is that the same as the statute of limitations? Does that change if a person has been found guilty, and had the case reversed on appeal? You don't know enough law to talk theory. So, just ask your question using facts, schedule a consult with an attorney, or just leave it alone. See website and podcast for real legal info: www.lawrencelewispc.com
