Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia
Goergia First Offender Act
I was sentenced under the first offender act some time ago. I have met all requirements and have successfully completed my probation and paid all restitution. I was under the impression that my conviction would not be revealed to organizations performing background checks for employment purposes. My criminal record is consistently keeping me from employment. Do I have any recourse?

Re: Goergia First Offender Act
No. First Offender will still show up on your criminal record and is not eligible for expungement.
