Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia
my grandfather is 80 something years old and alittle off his rocker, and my mother has power of attorney over all of his property. He was busted with a larger amount of pot in his home and my mother wants to know what she must do to keep his property. The cops didn't take his car and gave the keys to her to his cars and home.

How was an 80 year old man busted with pot in his home? If he is selling, attracting attention and stirring the ire of law enforcement, there may be little mom can do to keep his home. How does "off his rocker" get a large amount of pot? Grow it. That requires sense planning and knowledge. Buy it. That requires sense, planning and experience. I think the question may be premature. When law enforcement files for forfeiture of the house, mama need to retain an attorney, which means spend some money. Good luck.
