Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia

I was with a group of friends in my apartment courtyard. A young man yelled at us. I said looks like somebody needs a hug and he said he was going to knock my f***ing teeth in. I went over to apologize for whatever misunderstanding. The man wasn't having it so i got upset and called him short and portly. He then said he would know me out so i approached his vehicle. He started driving with no regard for my safety i started hitting his car. Did a significant amount of damage. I would just pay for damage and let it be if this man didn't work at my apartment building thus having access to my records which he already pulled to find out where I live and i know he can obtain a key. What can i do legally to guarantee my safety doing as little damage to my record as possible.

The best thing you can do to stay safe is not acting like that. Beyond that, apparently nothing has happened and you don't even explain the person's status with the apartment complex. The bottom line is that the only person who can probably be charged with a crime is you.
