Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia

I was arrested a couple weeks ago and need some advice with my defense because i dont have the funds to higher a lawyer.

I'm an 18 year old male. I got incredibly drunk at a party and the next thing i know i woke up in a cop car not knowing how i got there.

I picked up my incident report and what happened was the following: apparantly i was about a block away from my house at about 4 am and i tried to enter a house. The lady in there screamed "Go away" and called the cops. The cop showed up and told me to take my hand off the door handle. I apparantly refused and he hit me in the arm so i'd let go. I apparantly then told the cop i was trying to attend a party at the house, which is the reason i was there. I got charged with public intoxication and criminal trespassing. On the incident report it says victim is prepared to prosecute.

I feel disgusted with myself for scaring people like that but to be honest, i have no memory of ANY of that. Should i try to contact and apologize to the people of the house i went to that night? I know the house they're talking about. What should my defense be? Obviously im pleading guilty, but i dont know what to say beyond that.

Before you talk to anybody, ask for a public defender. Then, talk to him/her.

Don't be so quick to plead guilty. You may be eligible for diversion, etc. Speak to the PD first. And you really should not post such a detailed account of your case. This is the kind of information that you should provide in a private confidential conversation with your lawyer.
