Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia
my husband was arrested for probation violation for not reporting and not paying fines. he will have done 45 days by the time we go to court. if i pat the amount that he is behind will he be able to get time served and come home or will he get more jail time

No one here can possibly know. We haven't seen the case file, and you have omitted even basic facts (like what is the original charge, how much does he owe, what court, etc).
You should be asking these questions to his lawyer, and if you have not yet hired him, you have increased the chances things will go badly.
The judge has full discretion. The judge can give him time -served, or the judge can give him another 45 days in jail. What is the probation officer recommending? How much of his probation remains? Why haven't you decided to hire an attorney if you have the money to catch up his arears? Good luck.
