Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia
My husband was arrested at work for using his company gas card outside of business hours. He is being charged with credit card fraud. However, they withheld a couple of his upcoming payroll checks. Can the company do that...have him arrested and keep his payroll checks?

Even if he is arrested, he still owes the money he took. Those are two separate issues. Your husband may have signed documents allowing the company to do that, or it may be included in an employee handbook or policies. That is common when employees are entrusted with company property or credit cards.
