Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia
My husband has been cleared of charges in Gwinnett county georgia, but is being held as a fugitive from justice. He had a felony charge in Illinois which he has served time on and was given parole. He has abscounded. My question is; will Illinoiss extradite him considering that he has served time on his crime there and technically only has a month left on parole? How long will Georgia hold him for Illinois to come extradite him? Also if he is extradited what punishment does he face?

Only his lawyer can answer that. You did hire him a lawyer in Illinois I assume? If he is a fugitive and violated his parole he probably will go back to prison. But only his lawyer can tell you for how long (and can try to assist him).
